Incoming Mobility


 GUIDELINES FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS:

PROCEDURES TO BE CARRIED OUT STILL IN THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN

The student must contact the Brazilian diplomatic office in the home country to request the following documents:

1. Visa Issuance: The foreign visa must meet the requirements that motivate the student to enter the country, that is, for study reasons, for a temporary research/study mission, for scientists and professionals hired in Brazil, etc.
More information about the documents and procedures required for issuing each type of visa can be obtained from the Brazilian diplomatic representation in the origin country.
 IMPORTANT: The only visa accepted is the Temporary Visa IV: Student Visa.

2. Issuing CPF: Along with the visa application, the student must apply for registration in the CPF (National Registry of Individuals), this document is essential for opening a current account, enrolling at the University, requesting a Card for urban transport, etc. The service is free and will be provided by the Brazilian diplomatic representation.  General Information about CPF issuance click here: Clique aqui

Submission of Documents: The student must send the scanned copy of the following documents to the International Affairs Office, to the-mail esai.mobility@ufgd.edu.br:
  • Visa;
  • Passport
  • CPF
  •  Foreign Student Registration Form

PROCEDURES TO BE CARRIED OUT AFTER ARRIVAL IN BRAZIL

Upon arrival in Brazil  (first business day after arrival), the student must introduce himself/herself to ESAI/UFGD ( International Affairs Office) with
the following documents:
  • Passport
  • Visa
  • Copy of airline tickets
